After attending her first class at Strive in March of 2021, Jess was instantly hooked on the contagious energy and welcoming community. Growing up, Jess was constantly running from practice to practice. Whether it was on the ice rink playing hockey, the softball diamond, or the field hockey field, Jess was always surrounded by supportive teammates and healthy competition. Upon college graduation, Jess thought her time as an athlete had come to an end. But once she signed up for an indoor cycling class on a whim one cold winter day, she knew this was not the case. Strive has allowed Jess to feel like part of a team again; where she pushes herself to her limits with the support of her tribe alongside her.
Jess is currently in graduate school pursuing a Master’s in Education and Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Strategic Leadership. When she is not teaching or studying, Jess enjoys spending time with her golden retriever, Zoey, playing pond hockey with her friends, and spending all her money on new workout clothes.
What are you striving for? “I’m striving to create an environment where everyone feels like part of a team- where they are comfortable and confident just being themselves.”
What is a quote you live by? “How do I fit every Taylor Swift lyric into one quote?”
What is something our Strive Tribe may not know about you? I grew up in Iowa and Indiana. You might catch my midwestern twang if you every hear me say words like “bag”, “aunt”, or “crayon”.
